Some common problems and tips include changing the Volkswagen Golf engine oil on time. Consult the engine manual for the exact mileage when the oil should be changed. Always use recommended engine oil for your vehicle. The engine management light warning is the first indicator that something is not right. Contact the manufacturer for the meaning of Golf fault codes. Another common problem is a ticking engine noise which goes even faster at high revs. There can be many reasons behind it, but the most common is the cam belt. Again, not fixed in time the result would be a broken engine. Another good practice is to get the tuning done once in a while.
