Evolution in The Transporter Range Making It More Market Friendly

There are many mini vans in the market for the purpose of either commercial use or as a passenger carrier. People also purchase mini vans for their personal use. They are spacious, can carry heavy loads and are simpler in use than the cars. Volkswagen Transporter is among this range. Its new model range was first presented in the market in 2004 and since then its market has not seen a downfall. Its facelift was done after 6 years of its launch, the MPV has been upgraded to the latest technology and safety features and the engine is not ignored along the way. An MPV is not purchased to impress by its looks, its purpose is to transport, and this is the main feature a buyer sees in the vehicle of this class.

Engine Replacement:

A topper in the upgraded diesel engine range is the 2.0-Liter TDI with 132kw power generation; there are four more engines in this range. The previous engine was of 2.5-Liter with less power and performance. The new one generates 7kw more power than its predecessor. In the petrol range, there is again a 2.0-Liter four cylinder engine with a slight difference in its fuel efficiency, the rest of it remains the same. Petrol engine is not much popular globally. So, diesel engine wins the leading place which is popular in such vehicles due to fuel efficiency and power generation.

Choices in the Range:

There are three trim levels that are offered in this range; transporter, Kombi and Caravelle. Transporter: In this category the vehicles offer are mostly for the purpose of utility use. The eight panel vans, mini busses as called by the Volkswagen occupy this class mostly. These vehicles are built solely for practical uses, although other features can be installed but standard vans come with limited facilities. Kombi: Apart from the commercial use, range transporter, Kombi comes with more comfort and VW infotainment features. They are aimed at family use. Kombi comes with still limited features as eight acoustic speakers, dual-zone climate control and electric front windows. Caravelle: Caravelle however tops the range and has more features than Kombi. Added features include cruise control, a third climate control zone, park distance control and the most amazing multifunction steering.

Driving Experience:

Unlike other vans this road runner offers lot more for driving experience. It is not a dull low-performance van range. The crisp and quick drive makes it different from the competitors and proves itself a worth Volkswagen vehicle. Even when loaded with 1t additional load of goods or people, the driving performance do not fall. Even overtaking in the fourth gear is without effort or alarm and the experience of quick MPV remains the same. It has a phenomenal unit, especially when driving with all four wheels instead of only front wheels; the gearbox shift is flawless comprising seven-speed DSG gearbox. Vehicles like these have a face lifting after a long periods of time and they should have that fresh effect for long period as much as 6 years. Volkswagen MPV vehicles meet this standard successfully.
