Audi A6 offered with both diesel and petrol engines for autobahn worthy performance

Audi A6 is one of the best designed and sharply creased saloons offered. As a competitor to models like BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E Class in the UK. The Jaguar XF would also give the A6 a tough competition. Audi A6 has both options including a front wheel drive and an all-wheel-drive version called Quattro. It is easy to drive even on the twisty roads. All A6 versions are on sale but the new versions would go for sale late this year. The all-new luxury car has covered all the parts of the style and performance. The 5 series is a compelling all-rounder, the E Class, on the other hand, is one of the most luxurious and comfortable cruisers. Jaguar XF is the driver’s car and another car from Volvo, the S90 is also a respectable choice. The A6 aims to muscle back all these competitors.

Audi A6 Engine

Since the first launch of the Audi A6, the saloon remained one of the most favourite vehicles in the UK. But due to the lack of the dynamic edge over its rivals, the A6 was unable to get enough sale in the past. Now in the most modern generation, Audi has worked hard to achieve the dynamic edge over the rivals. A new generation has received a major rework and comprehensive range of Audi A6 engines for sale in the UK. There would be a range of hybrid engines acquired from the larger sibling Audi A8. Its styling cues are also acquired with the Audi A8. There are two trims available to opt from, where a sport and s line trims are available in three engine variations. The entry-level Audi A6 comes with a 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel engine and badged as a 40TDI version. Next level is of 50TDI variation and it is powered by a powerful V6 engine of 3.0-litre size. This engine is a powerful version of diesel line up. On the petrol engine line up, the entry-level engine is 3.0-litre V6 petrol and called 55TFSI. Similarly going more deeply into the engines line up of the Audi A6. You would meet the 3.0 litre 45TDI as well. It is a lower powered diesel variation again and would join the engine line up soon.

Audi A6 Legacy

Audi’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engines have enough brisk and acceleration. They all feel relatively staid and noisy on the motorway overtakes. These engines are still expected to be the best sellers in the UK. It is obvious that why these engines are like that, it is just because of Audi’s unique blend of power and refinement for achieving the higher fuel economies. For the flexible performance on the motorway and in the city traffic, the 3.0-litre diesel engines are powerful and smooth on power delivery. They are impressively hushed versions with a relatively good amount of power. And hot-footing on both country lanes and motorway cruising. On the other hand, 3.0-litre petrol engines are smooth, quiet, and more powerful. They offer excellent performance as well but they overall have higher running costs. The hybrid technology is also on its way to A6 and it would make the A6 a salon of the next generation. Audi has given a massive reconditioning to its engine series used in the A6 hybrid line up and a recon Audi A6 engine would be a 40TDI version. It is a 120kg lighter version of the range. New Audi A6 would lead the UK market soon.
